With 90cm of tempered glass to work with, this NEFF gas hob spreads 5 burners wide, so big pans aren't jostling for space. FlameSelect® sets the gas by numbers rather than by eye, with 9 defined levels, so a slow-reduced tomato sauce turns out the same every time. The Dual Wok Burner on the left climbs to 5000 Watts for a proper sear, then settles back to a low flame without you shuffling pans across the top. Cast iron supports sit flush as one continuous surface, and each half lifts out for the dishwasher, so that's the washing-up sorted. Turn on a burner and Hob-Hood Control can start up a matching NEFF hood with Home Connect, setting extraction to suit the heat level you've chosen.

Hob type: Gas

If you like traditional cooking, gas hobs make a great choice since they have responsive controls. They deliver instant heat across the entire base of the pan for even, reliable cooking - ideal for creating that perfectly seared finish.

Heat efficiency: Heat efficiency

Each hob type varies in heat efficiency. Induction hobs heat only the pan base, avoiding energy waste. Ceramic hobs heat specific zones, while gas hobs use flames and lose some energy around the pan edges but heat up quickly.

Number of burners / zones: 5 burners / zones

The number of hob rings you’d like depends on how much space you think you’ll need. They can have as little as one, all the way up to eight.

Pan support type: Cast iron
