Cook big and clear the air at the same time with this Neff induction hob. Its 4 zones each push up to 3700 Watts on boost, and Twist Touch® control lets you pick a zone, then dial through 17 power levels with a twist of your finger. Fancy a fish supper? The built-in extractor captures steam and odour particles at the source, preventing them from spreading through the room or lingering in fabrics. The fan starts at 42dB on its lowest setting, so you can still hear the onions sizzling.

Combi Induction joins two zones into one long zone with a tap, giving you space for large cookware. The stainless steel grease filter comes out with one hand and pops into the dishwasher, no fiddly clips involved. Link the hob to Home Connect and you can check its status from your phone or add extra cooking functions through the Favourites button. Handy extras include a child lock, a residual heat indicator, and a digital timer.

When it comes to cooking, extractor hobs give you the best of both worlds. They’re the perfect combination of powerful heat and a built-in extractor, removing steam and smells while you rustle up your next culinary creation. They are mostly induction, with some gas options too. Just check there’s enough depth under your worktop for the hob and extractor, and allow extra space if ducting runs behind.

Heat efficiency: Heat efficiency

Each hob type varies in heat efficiency. Induction hobs heat only the pan base, avoiding energy waste. Ceramic hobs heat specific zones, while gas hobs use flames and lose some energy around the pan edges but heat up quickly.
